Influência do suporte instrumental e emocional na relação entre a saúde funcional subjetiva e a satisfação com a vida em idosos

Abstract

Serão o Suporte Instrumental (SI) e o Suporte Emocional (SE) mediadores da relação existente entre a Saúde Funcional Subjetiva (SFS) e a Satisfação com a Vida (SV)? A amostra integrou 406 idosos autónomos, não institucionalizados, com idades compreendidas entre os 65 e os 97 anos (Mdn = 73) e residentes em meio urbano. Os sujeitos foram selecionados através de métodos de amostragem não probabilísticos, sendo excluídos aqueles com demência e depressão. Os constructos foram operacionalizados através do Questionário de Capacidade Motora Percebida, Índice de Satisfação com a Vida e o Questionário de Suporte Instrumental e Emocional. Por razões substantivas, só foi utilizado para o teste do modelo o construto SI nas suas facetas Dar e Receber. A validação dos constructos e o teste do modelo foram realizadas através da modelação de equações estruturais com a utilização do LISREL 8.53. Os resultados indicaram que não existe influencia do Sl Dar e SI Receber na relação entre as CMP e a SV; ABSTRACT: Can be the Instrumental Support (IS) and Emotional Support (ES) the relation mediators between the Subjective Functional Health (SFH) and the Life Satisfaction (LS)? We used a sample with 406 autonomous elderly and not institutionalized, with ages between 65 and 97 years old (Mdn = 73), living in an urban zone. The subjects were selected with non probabilistic sampling method, and had been excluded all the subjects with indicative outcomes of cognitive deficit and depression. The constructs were operationalized through the Questionnaire for Perceived Motor Abilities, the Satisfaction With Life Scale, and the Questionnaire of Instrumental and Emocional Support. For substantive reasons, it was only used to test the model, the construct Instrumental Support facets Get and Receive. The validation of the constructs has been done through structural equation modelling with LISREL 8.53. The results showed that the Get Instrumental Support and the Receive Instrumental Support doesn’t have any influence regarding the relation CMP and SV.
