dc.description.abstractWe are concerned with a “vanishing viscosity-capillarity method” since dissipation and dispersion effects are involved. We will consider 3rd order approximations of hyperbolic conservation laws and review some aspects of the nonlinear theory which are needed in order to work with “zero limits”. Issues concern the behaviour and selection of both the right models and physical solutions.por
