dc.description.abstractThe main aim of this study is to describe the changes of white lead pigments in Igreja de Santa Clara (Sabugueiro, Portugal), to explain the mechanism of the blackening of lead-based pigments and to identify the different microorganisms involved in this process and the role of salt solutions. This information can be useful in decision of making for conservation and restoration treatments.por
