Abstract

Joaquim de Vasconcelos (1849-1936) foi Conservador e mais tarde Director do Museu Industrial e Comercial do Porto instituição a que se devotou apaixonadamente. Expressão dessa entrega foi a organização das Exposições escolares, das Exposições especiais de industrias e artes industriais e da Exposição de desenhos e obras de arte dos professores das Escolas Industriais da circunscrição do Norte, mostras temporárias que realizou por iniciativa própria sem o auxílio de apoios institucionais. / Joaquim de Vasconcelos (1849-1936) was the Curator and then Director of the Industrial and Commercial Museum of Oporto institution to which he devoted himself passionately. Expression of that was the organization of school exhibitions, the exhibition of special industries and industrial arts and the exhibition of drawings and works of art of teachers from the industrial schools division of the North, temporary exhibitions which held his own initiative without the help of an institutional support.
