Sistemas de produção de ruminantes baseados em pastagens e forragens em clima mediterrânico em Portugal : uma revisão bibliográfica

Abstract

As áreas com pastagens ocupam presentemente mais de 50% da superfície agrícola útil em Portugal, desta forma as pastagens e as forragens constituindo a base alimentar dos ruminantes são muito importantes para a sustentabilidade agronómica ambiental e económica dos sistemas de produção. Pretende-se nesta dissertação abordar esses sistemas e as técnicas de exploração que permitem torná-los eficientes e sustentados; Animal production systems with ruminants based on pasture and forage in a Mediterranean climate: a literature review. Abstract: Pasture areas currently occupy more than 50% of the useful agricultural surface in Portugal, therefore pastures and forages, which form the food base for ruminants, are very important for the agronomic, environmental and economic sustainability of production systems. This dissertation aims to address these systems and the exploration techniques that make them efficient and sustainable.
