Recursos educativos digitais: um estudo sobre a sua utilização pelos professores numa escola do ensino básico e secundário

Abstract

Conhecemos hoje uma escola nova, modernizada, que se pretende ajustada à sociedade tecnológica em que vivemos e em que a presença das novas tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC) seja uma constante. Pede-se à nova escola que seja o espelho dessa sociedade, preparando os alunos para o mundo do trabalho. O surgimento do computador e a sua utilização massiva pela sociedade, implicam uma mudança de postura por parte dos professores. O professor assume, por isso, uma importância vital como dinamizador das aprendizagens dos alunos e como potenciador da inclusão das TIC no ensino e na concretização das práticas pedagógicas. Contudo, a simples presença das tecnologias nas escolas não é sinónimo da sua integração no ensino. Pretendeu-se com esta investigação averiguar de que forma utilizam os professores os meios tecnológicos ao seu dispor, em especial, os recursos educativos digitais. Estes recursos surgem continuamente nos mais diversos meios, e constituem um auxiliar no apoio à aprendizagem dos alunos. A escassez de informação disponível sobre essa utilização foi a força motriz que conduziu este trabalho, por se considerar importante conhecer quais são as percepções dos professores relativamente aos recursos educativos digitais. – ABSTRACT: The concept of school that is known today is a new and modern one, which intends to be adjusted to technological society we live in, in which the presence of new information and communication technologies (ICT) is a constant. lt is requested to the new school to be a mirror of that society, preparing students to the business life. The appearance of the computer and its massive use by the society, imply a change of posture by the teacher. The teacher has, for that reason, a vital importance as a dynamizer of the student learning and has a potentiator role in the inclusion of ICT in teaching and in the fulfilment of pedagogical practices. Nevertheless, the simple presence of these technologies in school isn't a synonym of its integration in teaching. With this investigation, it was intended do search in which ways, teachers use the technological means at their disposal and in particular, digital educational resources. This kind of resources appears continuously in the most different means, and can be a surplus to backup learning for the students. The lack of information available about this kind of use was the leading strength that drove this work, considering that knowing what are the perceptions of the teachers in the matter of digital educational resources, is important.
