Aplicação da radiação solar na aviação

Abstract

Esta dissertação consiste na apresentação do trabalho realizado sobre aplicação da energia solar na aviação, no âmbito da tese de Mestrado em Engenharia da Energia Solar. Começou-se por estudar quais as tecnologias fotovoltaicas existentes atualmente, bem como os sistemas de armazenamento de energia e perspetivas futuras. Realizou-se um ensaio de voo apenas com o UAV para a recolha de alguns dados e para realização de alguns cálculos hipotéticos. Posteriormente foram realizados vários testes com as células fotovoltaicas, o UAV e o MPPT, para obtenção de dados. Com todos estes testes e cálculos realizados, o objetivo será analisar qual é o contributo da Energia Solar para a aviação, assim como a viabilidade da utilização de sistemas solares em aeronaves; Abstract: Application of Solar Radiation in Aviation This dissertation consists of the presentation of the work carried out on the application of solar energy in aviation, under the Master's thesis on Solar Energy Engineering. The first step was study what are the current photovoltaic technologies, as well as energy storage systems and prospects. In a second stage, a flight test was made only with the UAV for some data collection and for the execution of some hypothetical calculations. Several tests were performed with photovoltaic cells, or UAV and MPPT, to obtain data. With all these tests and calculations, the objective is to analyse the contribution of Solar energy to aviation, as well as the reliability of using solar systems in aircraft.
