Scientific Report CIM-Workshop on Estimating Animal Abundance (WEAA)

Abstract

This three‐day workshop took place at the University of Évora during 7‐9 July 2008, with financial support from the Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation (FCT) and under the auspices of the International Center of Mathematics (CIM). The event was also sponsored by various other institutions providing material support and species. For instance, the Évora’s city Council provided a reception (Porto de Honra) and a guided city tour to the participants. A complete list of sponsors was always available in the site of the workshop, and it is also given at the end of this report (http://www.eventos.uevora.pt/~weaa/). This workshop site is still active and a CD with workshop information was provided to each participant.
