Património arquitectónico da UOPG2 do centro histórico de Montemor-o-Novo: sistema de gestão

Abstract

A dissertação aborda a temática de gestão do património arquitectónico e urbano de áreas históricas, concretamente da área definida no Regulamento do Plano de Urbanização da cidade de Montemor-o-Novo, como unidade operativa de planeamento e gestão UOPG2. Esta unidade é designada no mesmo regulamento como zona a conservar e, em cojunto com a zona monumental histórica compõem o Centro Histórico de Montemor-o-Novo. Restringindo-se a análise ao património arquitectónico e urbano da referida UOPG2, foi pensado um modelo que pretende salvaguardar esse património. O modelo de gestão proposto assenta em três pilares fundamentais: o corpo, a alma e o meio. A matéria física que serve de suporte à construção do edificado compõe o seu corpo. A alma, por sua vez, corresponde comunidade e às actividades humanas desenvolvidas nesse património, nomeadamente o seu uso. O meio desempenha um papel fundamental já que sustenta o espaço público e fornece as infra-estruturas necessárias ao bom funcionamento do corpo e da alma. A intervenção nestas três componentes contribuirá para a existência de um património vivo; ### ABSTRACT: UOPG2 Architectural Heritage of the old town of Montemor-o-Novo - Management System The present dissertation deals with the issue of management of the architectural and urban heritage of historic areas, specifically of the area defined in the Regulation of Urban Plan of the city of Montemor-o-Novo, as an operating unit of planning and management UOPG2. This unit is designated in the abovementioned Regulation as an area to be preserved; together with the historical monumental area, it makes part of the Historical Centre of Montemor-o-Novo. Restricting the analysis to the architectural and urban heritage of that UOPG2, a model has been thought a model that seeks to safeguard this heritage. The management model proposed is based on three fundamental pillars: the body, the soul and the environment. The physical matter that supports the construction of the buildings makes up its body. The soul, in turn, corresponds to human community and the activities developed inside this heritage, particularly its use. The environment plays a key role as supporting the public space and provides the infrastructures for the accurate functioning of body and soul. The intervention upon these three components will contribute to the existence of a living heritage.
