Para um estudo dos quimbundismo no português em Angola: contribuições lexicológicas e lexicográficas

Abstract

O presente trabalho visa apresentar um estudo sobre os “quimbundismos” assimilados pela variedade angolana do português, tema que se justifica pelo facto de na variedade do Português falado em Angola ser evidente a incorporação de unidades lexicais com origem no kimbundu. Assim, por um lado, procedeu-se, ao levantamento desse léxico já assimilado e “normalizado” no Português de Angola, e, por outro, procedeu-se à descrição do processo de incorporação que esses vocábulos registam, com vista à sua descrição e à elaboração de um glossário que possa contribuir para um futuro dicionário. A investigação circunscreveu-se a Luanda, capital do país, por ser a cidade que tem uma maior heterogeneidade de pessoas e influências. O corpus contempla “quimbundismos” recolhidos mediante o método de inquérito, mas também os colhidos na literatura linguística, em conversas do quotidiano, rádio, televisão. O tema situa-se no domínio da Lexicologia - uma das ciências do léxico -, que trata das unidades vocabulares (palavras e lexemas) como subsistema da língua, o que implica recorrer a conceitos e instrumentos de áreas tão distintas como a Semântica, a Morfologia, a Fonética/Fonologia e, inclusive, a Sintaxe e a História da Língua, já que o léxico, em virtude da sua natureza, se situa num ponto de convergência das referidas áreas. ; - ABSTRACT: FOR A STUDY OF QUIMBUNDISMS IN THE ANGOLAN PORTUGUESE: LEXICOLOGICAL AND LEXICOGRAPHIC CONTRIBUTIONS The present work aims to present a study on the “quimbundismos” assimilated by the Angolan variety of Portuguese, a subject that is justified by the fact that in the variety of Portuguese spoken in Angola the incorporation of lexical units from the kimbundu is evident. Thus, on the one hand, we proceeded to the survey of this lexicon already assimilated and “normalized” in the Portuguese of Angola, and, on the other hand, we proceeded to the description of the processes of incorporation that these words record, with a view to the elaboration of a glossary that can contribute to a future dictionary. The research was limited to Luanda, the country's capital, as it is the city with the greatest heterogeneity of people and influences. The corpus includes “quimbundismos” collected through the survey method, but also those collected in the linguistic literature, in everyday conversations, radio, television. The subject is located in the specialized field of Lexicology − one of the so-called "lexical sciences" − , which deals with vocabulary units (words and lexemes) as a subsystem of language, which implies using concepts and instruments from areas as diverse as Semantics, Morphology, Phonetics/Phonology and even Syntax and History of Language, since the lexicon, due to its nature, is located at a point of convergence of these areas.
