Alves Redol, um escritor em construção: o espólio e o romance Avieiros

Abstract

A partir do espólio de Alves Redol exploro a memória do escritor e dos avieiros. Para isso, numa primeira parte procuro apresentar um breve retrato do contexto histórico, político, social e cultural em Portugal e na Europa no século XX e sobre o Ribatejo e a comunidade avieira. Seguidamente, exploro o trabalho de campo e a forma empírica como o escritor o desenvolveu. Como exercício de análise da escrita redoliana comparo a 1ª e 5ª edições. Para finalizar, apresento algumas conclusões e reflexões acerca das paisagens e dos avieiros de hoje; ALVES REDOL, A WRITER IN THE MAKING: HIS OEUVRE AND HIS NOVEL AVIEIROS Abstract: From the work of Alves Redol, I explore the memory of the writer and of the “avieiros”. To do so, in the first part I aim to present a brief portrait of the historical, political, social and cultural context in Portugal and Europe in the 20th century and of Ribatejo and the “avieira” community. I then explore the fieldwork and the empirical way in which the writer developed it. As an exercise in analysis of his writing, I compare the 1st and 5th editions. Finally, I present some conclusions and reflections about the landscapes and the “avieiros” of today.
