Respigar como prática artística: a recolha e ressignificação do lixo com a linguagem da assemblage

Abstract

O presente relatório é um trabalho desenvolvido em torno da prática artística de uma mulher em contato com a rua, de um corpo feminino e imigrante traçando caminhos pelas cidades e sua decisão de coletar fragmentos abandonados pelas esquinas e dar-lhes uma nova forma de interação com planeta. Durante esse processo são produzidas reflexões, divagações e andarilhagens em torno do meu ponto de vista artístico de atuar no mundo. O foco deste é especificamente a série de trabalhos nomeada “Porque vocês não sabem do lixo ocidental?”. De quais maneiras é possível pensar o ato de respigar e resinificar fragmentos encontrados nas ruas e calçadas como uma prática artística identitária? Como o lixo pode também ser parte integrante de quem nós somos? O lixo é também retrato, fragmento de nossa sociedade? Como, através da arte de transformar resíduos, é possível tecer narrativas identitárias? Explorar e refletir sobre a relação com o espaço urbano, a partir da experiência pessoal, também sobre a prática artística de respigar e resinificar de resíduos, investigando suas interseções com questões relacionadas com a identidade, a gênero, e a questões de cunho social de um ponto de vista crítico e poético. A metodologia desta pesquisa mescla a sensibilidade de minha prática artística, e alguns dados, textos e reflexões de diversos sujeitos sobre assuntos paralelos aos meus aponta- mentos, tecendo assim redes de comunicação entre diversas áreas do conhecimento, é uma narrativa simples e com uma pitada de novas possibilidades de investigação nessa área do conhecimento; - Gleaning as an artistic practice: the collection and resignification of waste through the language of assemblage. Abstract: This report is a work developed around the artistic practice of a woman in contact with the street, of a female and immigrant body tracing paths through the cities and her decision to collect fragments abandoned on street corners and give them a new form of interaction with the planet. This process produces reflections, ramblings and wanderings around my artistic point of view of acting in the world. The focus here is specifically on the series of works called “Why don't you know about Western garbage?”. In what ways is it possible to think of the act of gleaning and resignifying fragments found on the streets and sidewalks as an artistic identity practice? How can garbage also be an integral part of who we are? Is waste also a portrait, a fragment of our society? How, through the art of transforming waste, is it possible to weave identity narratives? To explore and reflect on the relationship with urban space, from personal experience, and also on the artistic practice of gleaning and resignifying waste, investigating its intersections with issues related to identity, gender, and social issues from a critical and poetic point of view. The methodology of this research mixes the sensitivity of my artistic practice, and some data, texts and reflections from various subjects on issues parallel to my notes, thus weaving ne- tworks of communication between different areas of knowledge, it is a simple narrative with a hint of new possibilities for research in this area of knowledge.
