Clínica e cirurgia de equinos

Abstract

O presente relatório descreve as atividades desenvolvidas no âmbito do estágio curricular do Mestrado Integrado em Medicina Veterinária da Universidade de Évora. Este relatório está dividido em duas partes. Na primeira parte apresenta-se a casuística acompanhada ao longo dos quatros meses de estágio nas diversas áreas da clínica de equinos, cirurgia ortopédica e reprodutiva. Apresenta-se seguidamente uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a abordagem às afeções da região toracolombar em equinos. Termina com a apresentação de dois casos clínicos, descritos desde a história clínica ao tratamento, contemplando a sua resposta ao mesmo; Surgery and equine clinic ABSTRACT: This report aims at describing the activities developed within the curricular internship that allows for the completion of a Masters Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Évora. This report is divided into two parts. In the first part it will be presented the case series followed throughout the four-month internship in the different areas of the equine clinic, such as orthopedic and reproductive surgery. The second part will show a literature review on equine thoracolumbar affections. Lastly, this report will present two clinical cases, describing every aspect from clinical history to treatment, as well as the response to treatment.
