Abstract

The main drawback that photovoltaic technologies experience is the state of deterioration of its internal components. This degradation may have an impact on the internal solar panel parameters as well as the total production. Measurement of the solar cell response (current and voltage), computation of differences between observed and estimated data, and application of an optimization method for minimization are the three stages of the optimization procedure for getting these parameters. The vulnerability of IV tracers to additive noise is investigated, and a new optimization cost function is proposed and contrasted with the conventional function to justify its use. Additionally, eleven metaheuristic methods for obtaining photovoltaic parameters were applied, and their efficacy was evaluated. In order to obtain the optimum photovoltaic parameters and the proper instrument resolution, this study set out to identify the best electrical model, cost function, and optimization technique to use.
