A revolução e a indústria 4.0: a economia portuguesa no contexto europeu

Abstract

A evolução da tecnologia está a provocar profundas alterações na indústria, na sociedade e na economia, bem como nas nossas escolhas enquanto produtores e consumidores. O objetivo desta dissertação passa por entender quais os determinantes da Indústria 4.0 em Portugal e na União Europeia, com base numa análise comparativa. Esta dissertação está dividida numa breve revisão de literatura, em que é possível compreender em que consiste a Indústria 4.0 e de que forma está a ser abordada em Portugal e na União Europeia. Em seguida é feita uma análise ao DESI - The Digital Economy and Society Index de 2017 a 2021. Para obter as respostas às questões de investigação foi feita uma análise para concluir, de um conjunto de indicadores dos 27 países da União Europeia, quais os que mais tinham influência nos quatro componentes que compõem o DESI, através de modelos econométricos em dados de painel fortemente balanceados; - The Digital Revolution in Portugal: Industry 4.0 and the National Economy Abstract: The evolution of technology is causing in-depth changes in industry, society, and the economy, as well as in our choices as producers and consumers. The aim of this dissertation is to understand what are the determinants of Industry 4.0 in Portugal and in the European Union, based on a comparative analysis. This dissertation is divided into a brief literature review, in which it is possible to understand what Industry 4.0 consists of and how it is being addressed in Portugal and in the European Union. Next, an analysis is made of DESI - The Digital Economy and Society Index of from 2017 to 2021. To obtain answers to the research questions, it was analyzed, from a set of indicators from the 27 countries of the European Union, which ones had the most influence on the four indicators that make up the DESI, through strongly balanced econometric panel models.
