Os materiais cerâmicos da Quinta do Forte (Évora): contributo para o conhecimento do urbanismo eborense de época romana e medieval-islâmica

Abstract

Este trabalho pretende conhecer o local designado por Quinta do Forte localizado em Évora. Para tal, estudámos e interpretámos um conjunto cerâmico de cronologia romana e medieval-islâmica, proveniente da intervenção arqueológica que decorreu neste local em contexto de acompanhamento de obra no ano de 2008. Através do registo, análise e estudo dos materiais cerâmicos pretende-se identificar a morfologia, funcionalidade, ornamentação, cronologia e se possível o contexto da cerâmica. Estes dados permitem retirar informações sobre os hábitos alimentares, culturais e compreender as relações comerciais das populações deste local. Será um estudo diacrónico romano/medieval-islâmico. O principal objetivo deste estudo é compreender o sítio e contribuir para o conhecimento da cidade; Abstract: This work intends to meet the designated place for Quinta do Forte located in Évora. For such, we studied and interpret a set of Roman and Medieval-Islamic ceramics from the intervention archaeological held at this location in context of followup work in the year 2008. Through registration, analysis and study of ceramic materials is intended to identify the morphology, functionality, ornamentation, chronology and if possible the context of pottery. These data allow withdraw information about dietary habits, cultural and understand trade relations of the populations of this place. Will be a diachronic study roman/medieval-islamic. The main objective of this study is to understand the local and contribute to the knowledge of the city.
