Os romanos no antigo território do concelho da Amadora: valorização do património arqueológio local (Villa Romana da Quinta da Bolacha e do Aqueduto Romano)

Abstract

Esta dissertação pretende contribuir para a valorização do património romano da cidade da Amadora. Para isso é explorado o que tem sido desenvolvido e descoberto nestes espaços patrimoniais, particularmente a Villa Romana da Quinta da Bolacha e o Aqueduto Romano, mas também como estes espaços se integram na história do território que atualmente pertence ao Concelho da Amadora, e como se integram no seu presente. Assim este trabalho pretende contribuir para uma maior divulgação do património romano da atual cidade da Amadora junto da sua população, permitindo também uma maior interligação entre os vários setores da cidade e outros eventos culturais da mesma, mas também permitir a divulgação a outros locais, nomeadamente Lisboa, uma cidade próxima da Amadora e a capital de Portugal. Pretende também proporcionar o crescimento do interesse nestes monumentos à semelhança do que tem sucedido com exemplos patrimoniais de outros locais da área metropolitana de Lisboa; Abstract: Title: The Romans in the Ancient Territory of Amadora Municipality: Enhancement Proposal for the Local Heritage Archeological Sites (Quinta da Bolacha Roman Villa and the Roman Aqueduct) This dissertation aims to enhance the value of the roman sites in Amadora city, and for that reason we will explore what has been done and discovered in these spaces, in the Roman Villa of Quinta da Bolacha and the Roman Aqueduct in particular. We also plan to understand how these historical places fit into the history of the territory that now belongs to Amadora, but also how they belong to its present. So, this study will make possible a better enhancement of the Roman sites of the current Amadora city to its own inhabitants, supported on a better work between departments of the city and with other cultural events. The plan would be to also advertise to other cities, especially Lisbon, the Portuguese capital and in whose neighborhood stands the City of Amadora. Finally promote the growth of these monuments in relation to both cities, similarly to what has happened with other roman monuments in the suburbs of the capital.
