Process for the manufacture of carbon molecular sieves”

Abstract

The present invent describes a novel method to produce carbon molecular sieves. The carbon materials are submitted to a thermal treatment in a microwave furnace in order to selectively introduce modifications on the porous and chemical structure of the materials. The modified materials proved to be excellent when used as carbon molecular sieves for gas separations, namely CO2/CH4 and O2/N2.
