Abstract

Manifestaram, contudo, insatisfação face a alguns obstáculos enfrentados, destacando a rigidez da estrutura curricular do sistema educativo brasileiro, caracterizado como complexo e demasiado fragmentado e a carga horária das disciplinas, a afetar de forma particularmente gravosa a disciplina de Artes; ### ABSTRACT: Cross-curricular practices in the relation between Physics and Art in the context of young and adult education: perspectives and experiences of Brazilian high school teachers The purpose of this work was to investigate the possibility of cross-curricular practice between Physics and Art subjects in the youth and adults education at Brazilian high schools. Four teachers of Art and four of physics participated on the work through individual semi-structured interviews. All of them were teaching physics and art subjects to classes of youth and adults education in three schools in Ananindeua city, State of Pará, Brazil. The results obtained allowed us to infer that both groups of participants, despite of its having had a bad specific education and training, were doing their best to make cross-curricular activities, even in the context of EJA. Teachers were supposed to have noticed positive effects of those type of activities on students learning, namely the increase of the attendance and the development of the interpretative competence of the students and a growing interest and motivation for their classes. They expressed, however, clear dissatisfaction regarding some obstacles faced, pointing out the rigidity of the curricular structure of the Brazilian education system, classifying it as complex and fragmented, and the workload of the subjects which seriously affects the subject of Art.
