Relatório da actividade docente - Ano lectivo de 2009/2010

Abstract

Este trabalho corresponde ao Relatório de Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino da Matemática do 3º ciclo e ensino secundário, e é relativo à actividade docente realizada no ano lectivo 2009/2010. No trabalho é feito um relato reflectido sobre a prática lectiva. São analisadas situações específicas da prática lectiva, com especial incidência na identificação dos factores que contribuíram para promover aprendizagens válidas nos alunos. No relatório incluem-se ainda testemunhos sobre actividades extra-curriculares realizadas com vista à promoção do sucesso escolar dos alunos. São ainda apresentadas duas reflexões pessoais. A primeira sobre o insucesso escolar, na qual são sublinhados aspectos que, de acordo com a experiência da autora, podem contribuir para a promoção do sucesso dos alunos em Matemática, nomeadamente uma atitude positiva e elevação de expectativas sobre o que os alunos podem aprender, um ensino baseado na realização de tarefas interligadas e de nível de complexidade crescente. A segunda sobre a evolução do conhecimento didáctico da autora, no que diz respeito: ao conhecimento matemático, onde o conhecimento crescente dos conteúdos matemáticos permite abordagens mais eficazes; do currículo, visto como base de apoio no ensino da Matemática; dos alunos e respectivo processo de ensino-aprendizagem, sendo valorizadas tarefas significativas para os alunos; e do processo instrucional, realçando a importância de ajustar as aulas aos alunos e da utilização da avaliação como processo de melhoria da aprendizagem; Abstract: This work corresponds to the Report on Supervised Teaching Practice of the Master’s Degree in Mathematics Teaching in the Middle and High Schools, and it is about the teaching activity realized in the school year 2009/2010. In this work is made a reflective report about the teaching practice. Specific situations of teaching practice will be analyzed, with special attention to the factors that contributed to the endorsement of valid teachings in the students. In this report it is as well included some testimonies on the extra-curricular activities undertaken to promote scholar success among the students. Two reflections are also presented. The first one is the “dropping out of school” issue where, in accordance with the author’s experience, are underlined some aspects that may contribute to promote student’s success in mathematics, namely a positive attitude and high expectations about what students can learn, a teaching based on tasks that should be interconnected and with a growing level of complexity. The second one is about the evolution of the author’s didactic knowledge, in what concerns: mathematical knowledge, where the growing knowledge of the mathematical contents allows most effective approaches; curriculum, seen as support base in mathematics; students and respective teaching-learning process, being valued meaningful tasks for the students; and the instructional process, enhancing the importance to adjust the classes to students and the use of evaluation as a process to improve learning.
