Património religioso da cidade Templária - diversidade tipológica e espacial. O conjunto edificado de Tomar

Abstract

A cidade de Tomar possui várias tipologias de edifícios religiosos Cristãos, desde Ermidas a Conventos, sem contar com o maior Convento do país já vastamente estudado, o Convento de Cristo, e ainda a única Sinagoga proto-renascentista do país, que refletem a história da cidade e da sua sociedade, do século XIII ao século XX, nas suas características e relações com a malha urbana. Com este trabalho pretende-se fazer um estudo dos Templos existentes, ainda em uso e dos encerrados, suas características e estado de conservação, possibilitando um melhor conhecimento destes e promovendo, tanto quanto possível, a sua dinamização, em especial dos que se encontram actualmente encerrados, através de alguns programas culturais e de um percurso histórico-arquitetónico; Abstract: Religious heritage of the Templar city - typological and spatial diversity. The built complex of Tomar - The city of Tomar has several types of Christian religious buildings, from hermitages to convents, not counting the largest convent in the country already vastly studied, the Convent of Christ, and also the only proto-Renaissance synagogue in the country, which reflect the history of the city and its society, from the thirteenth century to the twentieth century, in its characteristics and relationships with the urban structure. This work intends to study the existing temples, both open and closed, their characteristics and state of conservation, in order to get to know them better and to promote, as much as possible, their revitalization, especially those that are currently closed, through some cultural programs and a historical-architectural tour.
