Estói: paisagem e património no meio rural

Abstract

A presente dissertação é o resultado de uma análise interdisciplinar no domínio da paisagem e do desenvolvimento, que visa analisar os conflitos decorrentes dos processos de evolução do Barrocal Algarvio, em particular da Freguesia de Estoi. Elaborada a partir da diagnose dos vários componentes da paisagem, aprofunda o debate sobre o território, biodiversidade, identidade, paisagem e património. Da análise da área estudada, detetou-se a presença de valores patrimoniais importantes, que conferem identidade à paisagem e podem constituir um recurso importante para o desenvolvimento da freguesia. A recuperação da paisagem tem particular incidência na conservação da biodiversidade, na implementação de medidas que viabilizem a valorização da paisagem e promovam o uso sustentável dos recursos naturais e patrimoniais. /ABSTRACT - The present dissertation is the result of na interdidciplinary analisys in what concerns to the landscape and to the development. lt aims to study the conflits resulting from the processes of evolution of the Barrocal Algarvio, particulary the parish of Estoi. Elaborated form the diagnosis of the different components of the landscape, it deepens the debate about the region, the biodiversity, the identity, the landscape and the heritage. From the analisys of the studied area, it was detected the presence of important patrimonial values, that confer identity to the landscape and can be an important resource for the development of the region. The recovery of the landscape has particular incidence in the preservation of the biodiversity and in the implementation of some rules that makes possible its recovery and promotes the sustainable use of the natural and patrimonial resources.
