Abstract
In this paper we propose an architecture for the automatic identification of arguments in legal
documents. The architecture is based in a pipeline of three modules: 1) identification of
argumentative sentences; 2) sentence clustering (into arguments); 3) identification of the
structure of the arguments (premises and conclusions). The proposed system was evaluated
with an annotated ECHR (European Corpus for Human Rights) corpus.
