Abstract
fundamental de socialização; ABSTRACT: I touch, you touch, he touch ...
A study on the touch among children of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education
Society has been changing through the past years. The way children relate and
interact among themselves is nowadays closely depending on that evolution and
changing of society patterns.
Therefore, this work on Relational Psychomotor has the proposal to show the
relationships and communicative interaction of a group of children of the 1st Cycle of
Basic Education, before and after the implementation of the Massage in Schools
Program - MISP.
The MISP is developed among children and its main aim is to provide children
positive and nutritious daily touch.
The study has followed a qualitative research approach; it involved 19 children in a
class of 3rd / 4th grade and has been developed into three major and distinct moments.
At first there was a natural observation, called Pre-MISP, then there were twenty
biweekly MISP Programme sessions; these sessions were taught by the researcher
herself, due to the fact of having such appropriated qualification. Finally another natural
observation was done at the end of the process, called Post-MISP.
We intend to consolidate, with this thesis, studies already existing on the importance
of touch in human life, regard as a basic need and a fundamental element of people´s
socialization.
