Straben des Friedens nach Europa - Migration und der Aufbau eines Fernbusnetzes im Sudwesten Europas (1960-2000)

Abstract

In this article we show how the building of a long-distance road transport network in the South Western European Corridor was related to migration processes and transnational mobility (double residence, temporary work) since the 1950s. Governments and firms established an administrative cooperation and a regulatory legal framework to provide regular scheduled services across European countries, considering the several (and sometimes divergent) interests in this business.
