| dc.description.abstract | The worrying marginalization of traditional silvopastoral practices, products and territories deserve collective innovations to persist and respond to continuously changing social structures and societal demands, and to maintain the important ecosystem services these multi-purpose systems provide. In this chapter, we describe some examples of initiatives grouped in four categories, (1) social and institutional); (2) regulations and policy; (3) products and market; and (4) farming techniques and management innovations. With the snapshots presented, we aim to discuss the current state of innovation on collective actions in silvopastoral systems and their possible impact on their sustainability and provision of multiple ecosystem services that society increasingly demands. | por |
