Effects of cadmium on growth, tissue accumulation and root exudates in sorghum and maize

Abstract

The effects of Cd on growth, tissue accumulation and root exudates in sorghum and maize, grown in nutrient solution with Cadmium (Cd), were investigated in order to get a further insight into the mechanisms of plant tolerance to Cd and the risks associated with terrestrial food-chain contamination.
