O impacto do suicídio: Evidências actuais

Abstract

In this theoretical article it is discussed, in a first section, the controversy surrounding the terminology used to describe the individuals bereaved by suicide. In a second part, we present a summary of the main results in the international literature on the impact of suicide. Later we describe the studies conducted in Portugal on this subject. Before the presentation of the main conclusions, we discuss some of the guidelines that future research in this area should take into consideration.
