A língua portuguesa como instrumento político de afirmação e sua difusão em organismos internacionais

Abstract

Este estudo visa analisar a língua portuguesa como instrumento político de afirmação e sua difusão nos organismos internacionais como a ONU (Organização das Nações Unidas), IPU (Inter-Parliamentary Union), Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), IOC (International Olympic Committee) dentre outras, levando em consideração ser uma das sete línguas mais faladas do mundo. Difusão essa que influencia na economia, cultura e política não só dos países de língua portuguesa, mas em todo o cenário internacional. É necessário também um estudo dos países da CPLP (Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa) e das instituições internacionais além da ligação desses governos com as dominantes linguísticas dentro das organizações. A investigação será realizada com base nos pressupostos teóricos e metodológicos do institucionalismo neoliberal e do multiculturalismo, tendo como principais autores Robert Keohane e Charles Taylor; ### ABSTRACT: The Portuguese Language as an Instrument of Political Statement and its Diffusion in International Organizations This study aims to analyze Portuguese language as an instrument of political statement and how it spreads in international organizations like the UN (United Nations), IPU (Inter-Parliamentary Union), Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), IOC (International Olympic Committee) among others, considering to be one of the seven most spoken languages in the world. This influence affects economic, cultural and political plans, not only in Portuguese-speaking countries, but in a whole international scene. This requires also a study of the countries of the CPLP (Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries) and international institutions beyond the connection of these governments with the dominant language within organizations. The research will be based on theoretical and methodological assumptions of neoliberal institutionalism and multiculturalism, whose main authors are Robert Keohane and Charles Taylor.
