Intervenção precoce em Portugal: produtos e publicações científicas

Abstract

Este estudo apresenta uma análise da produção científica sobre Intervenção Precoce (IP) em Portugal ao longo de 25 anos (1997-2021), sob a proposta de providenciar uma melhor compreensão da sua trajetória e impacto. Com este intuito, analisaram-se 264 produtos, quanto às suas características e conteúdo temático. Os resultados revelam um crescimento das produções entre 2002 e 2016, seguido de um decréscimo até 2021. Evidenciando-se o papel das instituições de ensino superior na investigação e desenvolvimento da IP, com predominância de dissertações de mestrado, destaca-se uma discrepância no número de produções em cursos de “Educação” comparativamente aos restantes. Observou-se uma abordagem limitada de temas cruciais (e.g., sinais de risco; necessidades familiares), e crescente interesse em temas relacionados com eficácia e qualidade da intervenção. Oferecendo uma visão geral da investigação sobre IP em Portugal, este estudo apresenta-se como ferramenta de análise crítica, identificando lacunas e oferecendo linhas de orientação para investigação futura; - ABSTRACT: Early Intervention in Portugal: products and scientific publications. This study presents an analysis of the scientific productions on Early Intervention (EI) in Portugal over 25 years (1997-2021), aiming to provide a better understanding of its trajectory and impact. To this end, 264 outputs were analyzed regarding their characteristics and thematic content. Results reveal a growth in production between 2002 and 2016, followed by a decline until 2021. The role of higher education institutions in research and development of EI is highlighted, with a predominance of master's dissertations; however, there is a discrepancy in the number of productions in "Education" courses compared to others. There was limited coverage of crucial topics (e.g., risk signs; family needs), and a growing interest in themes related to intervention efficacy and quality. Offering an overview of EI research in Portugal, this study serves as a critical analysis tool, identifying gaps and providing guidelines for future research.
