Abstract

Esta tese foi elaborada com o objectivo de analisar a relação entre a acção artística, a existência da arte e as razões para a existência de uma coisa que se chama arte. A primeira parte é a explicação da qualidade essencial da arte que é ser arte, facto que a distingue de todas as outras realizações. Se a arte é, é o que é. As causas das coisas que são arte são elas próprias arte. A arte pode ser qualquer coisa, pode ser feita por todos e está em toda a parte mas só é arte quando consegue passar por arte. A segunda parte é o resultado da análise e sequenciação que foi produzido pelo efeito da existência da acção artística do artista Pedro Portugal e sobre os sentidos que sobre ela foram escritos por críticos e académicos, demonstrando na prática que a arte é quando um artista também é; ABSTRACT:The art that is.
