dc.description.abstractThe European Group for Research on Aging and Physical Activity (EGRAPA) is delighted to welcome all of you to the PhysAgeNet & EGRAPA Conference 2024, themed "Evidence-Based Physical Activity in Old Age." Advances in technology now allow for unprecedented exploration of the body and mind, shifting our focus towards understanding the intricate neurochemical, cellular, and molecular processes influenced by various exercise regimes, including type, intensity, duration, and frequency. Our challenge in this conference is to enhance our understanding of "how it works" and to unravel the mechanisms behind the benefits of physical activity, as well as exercise behaviour in old age. Our scientific program includes three eminent scholars who will deliver central keynote speeches, along with symposiums, oral sessions, and poster presentations.
