dc.description.abstractThis work is about the contest “A tale that accounts” which is promoted by an organizing committee with the collaboration of Regional Delegation of South and Islands of the Portuguese Mathematical Society. This contest is open to all students of public and private schools of all country and consists of writing and illustrating a tale involving mathematical contents. The contest, which is now in its third edition, began in the school year of 2012/2013. The experience allows us to point out that it promotes the interdisciplinary between different contents and revealed to be a captivating initiative that has been well accepted by a growing number of students and teachers.por
