O Museu de Arqueologia e Etnografia de Barrancos: proposta de reorganização e dinamização do acervo

Abstract

Partindo da constatação de que a maioria dos museus municipais são vistos como uma instituição menor no que respeita à sua dimensão, e ao seu nível de interesse/oferta, o presente trabalho visa contrariar esse pressuposto através da valorização do Museu Municipal de Arqueologia e Etnografia de Barrancos. Assim ao longo deste projeto as componentes abordadas serão estudadas com a finalidade de encontrar medidas que visem valorizar o potencial desta instituição museológica e seu acervo. Estas medidas apresentam-se como uma mais-valia para a instituição no sentido em que os recursos disponíveis irão dinamizar e permitir uma maior oferta quanto ao usufruto do património existente, procurando também facilitar parcerias institucionais vantajosas. Para atingir o objetivo geral deste trabalho analisa-se a realidade atual da instituição, através do contato proporcionado pelos três meses de Estágio, mas sustentada nas componentes teóricas lecionadas no Mestrado de Gestão e Valorização do Património Histórico e Cultural; ABSTRACT: “The Archeology and Ethnography Municipal Museum of Barrancos: A proposal of reorganization and dynamization to the Museum’s museological collection”. The most of municipal museums are seen as a smaller institution both in terms of their size and level of interest and offer, so the present work aims to counteract this assumption through the valorisation of the Archeology and Ethnography Municipal Museum of Barrancos. This means that, throughout this project, all components will be studied in order to find measures that aim to value the potential of this museological institutions and its entire collection. These initiatives present an added value for the institution, available at local and at the border level will be able to stimulate the existing heritage, allow a greater offer, and also looking for advantageous institutional partnerships. In order to achieve the general objective of this work, there will be a critical analysis of current reality lived in the institution, through the direct contact provided during three months of internship, but clearly sustained in the theoretical components taught in the Master in Management and Enhancement of Historical and Cultural Heritage.
