Aprendizagem intercultural - Fundamentos

Abstract

Este artigo é uma reflexão sobre o nosso quotidiano marcado profundamente pelos benefícios e problemas levantados pela multiculturalidade. Pretende ser igualmente um instrumento apologético em prol de tornarmos a nossa realidade multicultural em verdadeira prática intercultural entre as populações autótones e as migrantes, bem como de respeito e aceitação de todas as minorias. É igual¬mente um apelo à educação intercultural como algo imprescindível e natural. É na Escola que poderão e deverão ser lançadas as bases para uma aprendi¬zagem intercultural saudável, baseada no convívio e interacção entre culturas diferentes. É aqui que se deverá aprender a respeitar e aceitar o "outro". Esta aprendizagem é necessária a todos os que compõem a sociedade e não só aos que vêm de fora, a pretexto de uma integração na sociedade de acolhimento. É urgente que a Escola eduque o cidadão de amanhã a reflectir sobre a necessi¬dade de aprendermos uns dos outros, sobre a necessidade de partirmos as barrei¬ras do "Nós" e "Eles" que devido juizos-de-valor preconceituosos muitas vezes nos separam. É imperioso que a Escola ajude à compreensão de que a intercul¬turalidade deve ser entendida como uma tarefa política prioritária ao serviço da solução de muitos dos problemas que afectam o nosso quotidiano. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This paper is a reflection on our daidly life marked by the benefits and problems arised by multiculturlity. lt also intends to be an apologetic instrument in favour of making our multicultural reality into a real intercultural reality practice between host population and migrants, as well as of respect and acceptance of all minorities. It is also a call to intercultural education as something natural and indispensable. It is at school that the bases for a healthful intercultural learning can and should be settled and based in meeting and interaction amoung different cultures. This is the place where one must learn to reflect and accept "the other". This learning is necessary to everybody in society and not only those that come from outside, for an integration in host society. It is urgent that school educates future citizens to reflect on the necessity of learning from one another and of breaking the barriers of" We" and "Them " which often separate us because of prejudices. It is absolutely necessary that school help understand that interculturality must be understood as a political prioritary task at the service of most of the problems that a affect on daily life.
