Relatório de estágio: intervenção de enfermagem especializada na prevenção do stress pós traumático na pessoa/família em situação crítica internada em UCI

Abstract

A evolução técnico-científica em Medicina Intensiva transporta-nos para uma realidade em que se prevê o aumento de sobreviventes perante uma situação crítica e, se tradicionalmente o tratamento à Pessoa hospitalizada em Cuidados Intensivos era focado na cura do problema de saúde, atualmente são cada vez mais valorizadas as consequências psicológicas que advém do internamento. No âmbito do Estágio Final realizado numa Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos da região de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo, foi elaborado um Projeto de Intervenção em Serviço, que retrata o Stress Pós Traumático enquanto consequência psicológica da hospitalização em Cuidados Intensivos e que estratégias os enfermeiros devem adotar para prevenir este distúrbio, garantindo uma prática de qualidade. Desta forma, foi elaborada a proposta de guia orientador para realização do Diário da Pessoa Internada em Cuidados Intensivos, estratégia de excelência na dinamização de cuidados de saúde humanizados. É também realizada uma análise crítico-reflexiva acerca das competências adquiridas enquanto candidata a Mestre em Enfermagem e a Enfermeira Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica: a Pessoa em Situação Crítica; Intership Report: Specialized Nursing Intervention in Prevention of Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder in Person/Family in Critical Situation hospitalized in ICU Abstract: The technical-scientific evolution in Intensive Care Medicine brings us to a reality in which survivors are expected to increase in a critical situation and, if traditionally the treatment of the person hospitalized in Intensive Care was focused on curing the health problem, nowadays the psychological consequences that result from hospitalization are increasingly valued. As part of the final internship held in an Intensive Care Unit in Lisbon and Tagus Valley region, an In-Service Intervention Project has been developed, which portrays Post Traumatic Stress as a psychological consequence of hospitalization in Intensive Care and what strategies nurses should adopt to prevent this disorder, ensuring a quality practice. Thus, a proposal for a guiding guide for the realization of the Diary of the Person Hospitalized in Intensive Care was elaborated, a strategy of excellence in the promotion of humanized health care. A critical-reflexive analysis is also carried out about the competencies acquired as a Master’s candidate in Nursing and as a Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing: the Person in Critical Condition.
