Viver ecológico: Da responsabilidade ecológica à ética ambiental

Abstract

A Ecologia Humana convida o Homem a redescobrir a sua verdadeira natureza em todos os seus aspectos: biológico e sócio-cultural. Face a uma Natureza ameaçada ou mesmo comprometida na sua sobrevivência e a certeza de serem os sucessivos erros da acção humana o factor que mais contribuiu para tal degradação, traça-se o estruturar da consciência ecológica. É atribuída ao Homem uma responsabilidade que a Filosofia integra no âmbito da Ética Ambiental, incluindo-se esta nas relações mais íntimas do sentido da existência, do nosso lugar no mundo. Um apelo à escuta da verdadeira essência do Homem, da Natureza e da Vida. O viver ecológico deve reflectir uma atitude mental, sensitiva e estética, de responsabilidade e contenção perante bens patrimoniais, promovendo uma educação clara e atractiva de tal modo que todos possam reconhecer e valorizar a beleza e o valor científico do universo e permitindo a percepção e compreensão de cada sujeito nele. It is acknowledged that Man has a duty, which Philosophy integrates in the scope of environmental ethics included, in its turn, in the most intimate relations of the sense of existence, of our place in the world. An urge to stay alert to the true Human essence, to Nature and to Life. An ecological way of living must reflect a mental, sensitive and aesthetic attitude, of responsibility and self-control towards property, promoting an education so clear and attractive that everyone may be able to recognize and praise the beauty and the scientific value of the universe and enabling the perception and understanding of each being in it.
