O uso educativo da internet por professores de ciências em escolas do distrito de Évora

Abstract

Com a presente investigação, pretendeu-se caracterizar os professores que utilizam a Internet dentro e fora da sala de aula, tentar perceber como a utilizam e tentar compreender se a formação, o tempo de serviço e o facto de leccionarem em determinada escola influenciam o uso ou não daquele recurso em actividades com os alunos. Desta forma, depois de realizado o estudo piloto e analisados os dados daí resultantes, solicitou-se às escolas do distrito de Évora a aplicação de um questionário aos professores de Ciências dos 2° e 3° ciclo e Secundário. Assim sendo, a principal técnica de recolha de dados foi o referido questionário e a análise desses dados foi feita através da utilização de um programa de análise estatística em ambiente Windows (o SPSS – versão 10.0). As conclusões obtidas apontam para o facto de apenas a formação influenciar o uso da Internet em actividades com os alunos. As actividades mais usadas são as de pesquisa e em relação á caracterização do professor que utiliza a Internet em actividades com os alunos, embora não se consiga estabelecer um perfil perfeitamente definido verifica-se que existem características comuns que poderão ser olhadas como uma indicação desse perfil. / *** Abstract - With the present investigation it was intended to characterize the teachers who use the Internet inside and outside the classroom and try to understand if their formation, the time they have been teaching and the fact that they teach in a given school influence or not the use of the Internet in activities with the students. So, after the first survey was concluded and the data analyzed, the Schools around Évora were asked to give their Science teachers of Secondary Education a questionnaire. The main form of research was the questionnaire and the data analysis was done using a statistics program analysis for Windows (SPSS, version 10.0). The conclusions point to the fact that only teacher's experience about Internet influences the use of that resource with the students. The activity most frequently used was research. Even though it was difficult to characterize the teacher who uses the Internet with the students, there were some common characteristics that could lead to a profile.
