Práticas, redes e produções científicas dos naturalistas do Museu Bocage na Europa entre guerras (1914-1945). O património documental do Arquivo MUHNAC_UL

Abstract

Com este Relatório de Estágio, pretende-se dar a conhecer uma metodologia que nos ajuda a identificar e a conhecer não só as práticas, redes e produções científicas dos Naturalistas, como também promover a valorização de um fundo documental, cujo conteúdo nos permite aproximar a Ciência à Arte. É em plena Rua da Escola Politécnica, que se situa um dos mais importantes palcos para a construção da história da Ciência em Portugal: o Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência da Universidade de Lisboa. No sentido de dar a conhecer e abrir novos caminhos a partir do imenso património até ao momento pouco explorado, que nos surge o interesse de identificar os Naturalistas do Museu José Vicente Barbosa du Bocage (Museu Bocage) num período, também ele pouco ou nada explorado. “Entre Guerras” sugere-nos estagnação, mas a cronologia de eventos e trabalhos científicos ocorridos entre 1914 e 1945 demonstra-nos uma outra realidade; ABSTRACT: Practices, networks and scientific productions of the naturalists of the Bocage Museum in Europe in the Interwar period (1914-1945). The documental patrimony of the Archive MUHNAC--UL With this Intership Report, we intend to make known a metodology that helps us identify and know the practices, networks and scientific Naturalist, as well as promote the value of an archive, whose contents brings closer Science and Art. It‟s right on the street of Escola Politécnica, where on of the most important stages for the construction of the history of Science in Portugal is located: the National Museum of Natural History and Science of the University of Lisbon. It´s based on the intent to make know and open new paths, based on the extense patrimony until now much inexplored, that the interest to identify the Naturalists of the Museum José Vicente Barbosa du Bocage (Bocage Museum), on a period itself also inexplored, appeared. Interwar period suggests us a stagnation, but the chronology of the events and scientific works duing this period shows us otherwise.
