Imigração e Trabalho Precário no Alentejo (Portugal): a atuação da SOLIM - Solidariedade Imigrante. Entrevista com Alberto Matos

Abstract

RESUMO: Na entrevista Alberto Matos, uma das principais figuras atuantes no interior da SOLIM, fala da sua trajetória e militância social, recuperando temas abrangentes sobre a história de Portugal. Apresenta o fluxo imigratório que alimenta a necessidade de mão-de-obra para as empresas agrícolas, particularmente do Alentejo, sul de Portugal. O entrevistado nos dá um quadro geral da imigração e da formação de “máfias de interesse” que se favorecem na exploração de mão-de-obra legal e ilegal. A presenta o funcionamento da “indústria da imigração” consoante a chamada “hipocrisia europeia”. Apresenta os trâmites atuais e procedimentos institucionais- legais com relação a principal bandeira de luta da SOLIM que é a legalização do imigrante, portanto, o reconhecimento de cidadania, para posterior visibilidade da exploração do trabalho.

ABSTRACT: In the interview Alberto Matos, one of the main figures working within SOLIM, talks, about the history of Portugal. It presents the immigration flow that feeds the need for labor for agricultural companies, particularly from Alentejo, Southern Portugal. The interviewed gives us a general picture of immigration and the formation of “mafias of interest” who favor the exploitation of legal and ilegal labor. It presents the functioning of the “immigration industry” according to the so-called “European hypocrisy”. It presents the current procedures and institutional-legal procedures regarding SOLIM’s main banner of struggle, which is the legalization of immigrants, therefore, the recognition of citizenship, for later visibility of the exploitation of work.
