Clínica e cirurgia de equinos

Abstract

O presente relatório foi redigido de modo a descrever as atividades realizadas no âmbito do estágio curricular do Mestrado Integrado em Medicina Veterinária da Universidade de Évora. O estágio foi realizado em clínica de equinos. O relatório está dividido em duas partes. Numa primeira parte é apresentada a casuística acompanhada em regime ambulatório, durante os três primeiros meses de estágio, seguida da casuística em regime hospitalar, nos últimos três meses de estágio, onde serão descritos alguns casos clínicos nas diversas áreas da clínica de equinos. Desta forma é possível diferenciar a casuística nos dois tipos de ambiente, assim como compreender um pouco do panorama da clínica de equinos em Portugal. Na segunda parte do relatório é descrito um estudo epidemiológico sobre o Vírus do Nilo Ocidental, em Portugal; Equine clinics and surgery Abstract: The current report was written to describe the activities carried out under the ambit integrated internship of the master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine of the University of Évora. The internship was realized in equine clinic. The report is divided in two parts. In the first part is presented the casuistics followed in ambulatory, during the first three months of internship, followed by casuistics in a hospital environment, in the last three months of internship, where will be described some clinical cases within the varial clinical areas. This way it’s possible to differentiate the type of casuistics in both types of environment. On the second part it’s describe a epidemiology study of West Nile Virus in Portugal.
