História da imprensa periódica desportiva portuguesa (1875 - 2000)

Abstract

Fazer a história da imprensa periódica desportiva portuguesa foi o objectivo deste trabalho, que englobou a análise a 940 publicações periódicas desportivas, criadas em Portugal entre 1875 e o ano 2000. A construção desta história do jornalismo desportivo português permite compreender a importância e dimensão real desta área de especialização jornalística e fazer o seu enquadramento na história dos media em Portugal e no contexto internacional. Este estudo possibilitou ainda a identificação das principais linhas editoriais e tendências discursivas subjacentes à actividade jornalística desportiva portuguesa, assim como os diferentes trajectos e retóricas, em distintos espaços e dimensões temporais. ### Abstract- Making the history of the Portuguese newspaper sport press was the main goal of this research. This work included 940 Portuguese sports newspapers, created between 1875 and 2000. The construction of the history of sport journalism in Portugal was an important step to understand the real dimension of this specific area in the Portuguese and international media context. The research gave his contribution to identify the editorial fines and speech tendencies in the Portuguese newspapers sport press and gave some essentials contributions to different dimensions of the Portuguese general history in the contemporary era.
