Uso e sustentabilidade dos recursos naturais água e energia em São Tomé e Príncipe

Abstract

Neste trabalho, com o tema O uso e a sustentabilidade dos recursos naturais água e energia em São Tomé e Príncipe, o objetivo é o de fazer uma análise do uso e da sustentabilidade dos recursos naturais água e energia, uma das grandes problemáticas do mundo subdesenvolvido e no país, por a sua gestão não sustentável influenciar negativamente o desenvolvimento e o crescimento económico sustentável. Inicia-se com a revisão da literatura sobre o uso e a gestão sustentável dos recursos naturais e a sua importância para o crescimento económico e o desenvolvimento sustentável. De seguida, faz o levantamento da situação de uso e consumo de água e energia em São Tomé e Príncipe (STP). Finalmente, com base na informação recolhida, nomeadamente secundária (oriunda da revisão bibliográfica e documental a realizar) e primária (observação e realização de entrevistas a especialistas), foi possível evidenciar que não é a sustentável o uso dos recursos considerados, em STP. Os resultados da investigação, permitem não somente conhecer os potenciais contributos da gestão sustentável dos recursos água e energia para STP, como também encontrar fazer recomendações para essa gestão de modo a incentivar o crescimento económico e o desenvolvimento sustentável do país; - Use and sustainability of natural resources water and energy in São Tomé and Príncipe - Abstract: In this work, with the theme The use and sustainability of natural resources water and energy in São Tomé and Príncipe, the objective is to make an analysis of the use and sustainability of natural resources water and energy, one of the major problems of the underdeveloped world and in the country, because its unsustainable management negatively influences sustainable economic growth and development. It begins with a review of the literature on the use and sustainable management of natural resources and their importance for economic growth and sustainable development. Then, it surveys the situation of use and consumption of water and energy in São Tomé and Príncipe (STP). Finally, based on the information to be collected, namely secondary (from the bibliographic and documentary review to be carried out) and primary (carrying out interviews with specialists and questionnaires to consumers), sustainability in the use of the considered resources in STP will be analysed. It is hoped that the results of the investigation will not only make it possible to know the potential contributions of sustainable management of water and energy resources to STP, but also to make recommendations for this management in order to encourage economic growth and sustainable development in the country.
