Abstract
This talk will give an elementary presentation of the mathematical methods used in the modeling of plastic surgery and the cardiovascular system. Emphasis is given to numerical methods, in particular to the finite element method, taking into account the approximation theory associated with the method and the direct methods of calculating variations
