Ermidas do concelho de Portel: um contributo histórico, arquitetónico e fotográfico

Abstract

A presente Dissertação de Mestrado teve como propósito o estudo e a representação arquitetónica das dez ermidas do concelho de Portel, perante um olhar que procurou recuperar o seu legado no tempo e avançar com propostas para a sua salvaguarda e valorização, a fim de poder transmitir às gerações mais novas e vindouras o que ainda perdura deste importante património arquitetónico religioso, praticamente esquecido e em degradação. As ermidas são caracterizadas pela sua singularidade enquanto pequenas construções que normalmente se situam em potenciais pontos estratégicos e bastante privilegiados no território do concelho de Portel, encontrando-se localizadas num contexto rural - sítios onde a natureza se expressa mais – e na proximidade dos povoados. A criação de uma rota permitirá (re)conhecer a importância que estes edifícios tiveram outrora e projetar no futuro uma responsabilidade social, que será facilitadora para a reinvenção de uma nova função para as ermidas do concelho de Portel; HERMITAGES OF PORTEL’S MUNICIPALITY A HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND PHOTOGRAPHIC CONTRIBUTION ABSTRACT: The focus of this Master’s Thesis was the study and the architectural representation of ten hermitages in the municipality of Portel, from a perspective that sought to recover their legacy over time and put forward proposals to safeguard and value them, in order to transmit to younger and future generations what still remains of this important religious architectural heritage, practically forgotten and in degradation. The hermitages are characterised by their uniqueness as small constructions that are usually located at potential strategic and rather privileged points in the territory of the municipality of Portel, being located in a rural context - places where nature expresses itself more - and close to villages. The creation of a route will allow us to recognise the importance that these buildings once had and to project a social responsibility into the future, which will in turn spark new uses for the hermitages in the municipality of Portel.
