Concepções de crianças e jovens sobre amizade, amor e paixão em função de diferentes níveis etários

Abstract

O estudo das emoções e o seu papel no desenvolvimento cognitivo, emocional e social, tem suscitado, desde há muito tempo, o interesse de vários investigadores. Tal interesse permitiu que, actualmente, seja consensualmente reconhecido o carácter adaptativo das emoções e o papel central que desempenham no funcionamento humano (Melo, 2005). O conhecimento das emoções vai sendo adquirido ao longo do desenvolvimento, permitindo que o ser humano interprete e explique estados emocionais, para que possa desenvolver relações positivas com os outros (Flavell, Miller & Miller, 1999). O presente estudo tem como objectivo identificar as concepções de crianças e jovens sobre amizade, amor e paixão em função de diferentes níveis etários. Para a realização do mesmo recorreu-se a uma amostra constituída por 40 sujeitos com 5, 10, 15 e 20 anos. Os dados foram recolhidos através de entrevistas e analisados através da análise temática e categorial. Os resultados demonstram que as concepções dos conceitos estudados se vão modificando ao longo do desenvolvimento; ### Abstract: “Conceptions of children and young people about friendship, love and passion in function of different age groups” The study of emotions and his role on the cognitive, emotional and social development has long started to interest researchers. Such interest allowed that, nowadays, by general consent, is recognized the adaptative character of emotions and his central role on the human development (Melo, 2005). The knowledge about emotions will be acquired along development, allowing that the human being interpret and explain emotional states, to develop positive relations. The aim of the present study is identify the conceptions of children and young people about friendship, love and passion in function of the age group. The sample included 40 subjects aged 5, 10, 15 and 20 years old. The data was gathered using an open questionnaire and examined through categorical and thematic analysis. The results showed that the conceptions of the study concepts will change along development.
