Perceção do suporte social e adaptação dos estudantes ao ensino superior

Abstract

A presente dissertação procurou investigar a relação existente entre as variáveis do suporte social percebido e a adaptação ao Ensino Superior numa amostra de 150 estudantes, pertencentes ao segundo e terceiro anos de várias licenciaturas da Universidade de Évora. Para tal recorreu-se à aplicação do Questionário de Suporte Social, na sua versão Portuguesa (SSQ6; 2002) e do Questionário de Vivências Académicas na sua versão reduzida (QVA-r; 1999). Verificou-se a existência de algumas correlações significativas entre as variáveis da perceção do suporte social e as dimensões da Adaptação. Foi, também, possível verificar que existem diferenças de perceção de suporte social e de adaptação face às variáveis género e ano frequentado. Na variável local de residência, não foi possível verificar diferenças significativas; ABSTRACT:The present dissertation aimed to investigate the relation that exists between the variables of social support perceived and the adaptation to Higher Education with a sample of 150 students that were attending the 2nd and the 3rd year of different Graduate Degree courses at the University of Évora. To accomplish this task, the Portuguese version of the Social Support Questionnaire was used (SSQ6; 2002), as well as the reduced version of the Questionnaire of Academic Performance (QVA-r; 1999). In was found that there are some significant correlations between the variables of the perception of social support and the dimensions of Adaptation. It was also possible to verify that there are differences of perception of social support and adaption in what concerns the variables of gender and school year that the students were attending. Regarding the variable that refers to the place of residence, it wasn´t possible to see significant differences.
