A exploração romana do mármore no anticlinal de Estremoz: extracçao, consumo e organização

Abstract

This paper results from an ongoing research project started in 2006, in which we try to gather all the data and bibliography about the marble extraction in Estremoz/ Vila Viçosa. In a further moment, fieldwork intends to identify primordial activity areas, and also sites where labouring activities could occur. We began to develop mapping analysis of the labouring remains, but also of the evidences and sites related to the marble economic activities, which are presented in this in paper in a broad perspective
