Flauta Armorial: aspectos técnicos e interpretativos de obras selecionadas

Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho aborda o estudo dos aspectos técnicos e interpretativos da Música Armorial voltada para o repertório de flauta transversal, objetivando a criação de uma concepção de Flauta Armorial com base nos princípios da referida música. O estudo se desenvolveu, primariamente, buscando compreender o contexto histórico, conceituação, pressupostos e características da Música Armorial. Considerando que essa música tem seu fundamento nas expressões musicais da cultura popular nordestina, realizou-se uma investigação de tais expressões, com uma maior ênfase na música de pífano – cujo instrumento é elemento inspirador para flauta na Música Armorial – no intuito de apreender seus modos de toque e nuances sonoras, as quais foram traduzidas na flauta através das novas técnicas contemporâneas. Na etapa posterior da pesquisa, foi realizado um trabalho interpretativo em três obras selecionadas, a saber: Terno de pífanos, de Clóvis Pereira, Concertino Armorial para flauta e orquestra, de Rogério Borges e Suite da caatinga para flauta e piano, de Hezir Pereira. Nesse processo, realizou-se um procedimento de intervenção, no qual foram aplicadas nas obras técnicas contemporâneas que remetessem aos aspectos sonoros das expressões musicais da cultura popular nordestina. Os resultados obtidos viabilizaram a construção de uma sonoridade armorial e mostraram a contribuição das técnicas contemporâneas na elaboração dessa sonoridade. A investigação também propôs aos compositores a elaboração de obras para flauta inspiradas na linguagem armorial, que resultaram em cinco novas composições. Por fim, originou-se um caderno de partituras para Flauta Armorial no qual constam as referidas obras, bem como as abordadas no processo interpretativo, essas editadas com as sugestões interpretativas; Armorial flute: technical and interpretive aspects of selected works ABSTRACT: This work deals with the study of the technical and interpretative aspects of Armorial Music focused on the transverse flute repertoire, aiming at the creation of a conception of Armorial Flute based on the principles of that music. The study was developed, primarily, seeking to understand the historical context, conceptualization, assumptions and characteristics of Armorial Music. Considering that this aesthetic is based on musical expressions of popular Northeastern culture, an investigation of such expressions was carried out, with greater emphasis on fife music - whose instrument is an inspiring element for flute in Armorial Music - in order to apprehend its ways of touch and sound nuances, which were translated into the flute through new contemporary techniques. In the later stage of the research, interpretive work was carried out in three selected works, namely: Terno de pífanos, by Clóvis Pereira, Concertino Armorial for flute and orchestra, by Rogério Borges and Suite da caatinga for flute and orchestra, by Hezir Pereira. In this process, an intervention procedure was carried out, which were applied in contemporary technical works that referred to the sound aspects of musical expressions of popular northeastern culture. The results obtained enabled the construction of an armorial sound and showed the contribution of contemporary techniques in the elaboration of this sound. The investigation also proposed to the composers the elaboration of works for flute inspired by the armorial language, which resulted in five new compositions. Finally, a notebook of scores for Armorial Flute was created, which contains the aforementioned works, as well as those addressed in the interpretive process, edited with the interpretative suggestions.
