Continuidade dos cuidados à família e criança após a alta hospitalar

Abstract

O nascimento de um bebé prematuro começa a deixar de ser um acontecimento pontual. Ainda assim, a maioria dos casais não tem presente esta possibilidade. O ideal é quebrado e entram num mundo novo onde tudo é desconhecido. O bebé nasce e num curto espaço de tempo os pais são confrontados com múltiplas informações e cuidados que até então não conheciam. Os ensinos sucedem-se sempre com alguém por perto a quem recorrer - os profissionais do serviço. Chegado o grande dia - a alta - os pais levam o seu bebé e também as informações e ensinos que foram recebendo para além de mais uma ou duas recomendações de última hora. Em casa têm de se adaptar sozinhos com tudo que foi aprendido sem provavelmente terem tido tempo para esclarecer as suas dúvidas. Quer o que gostavam de saber ou dizer o que sentiram e estão a sentir. Mas sabem que o seu porto seguro esta lá, e é ao UCIN/Hospital que recorrem sempre que precisam. /ABSTRACT - The birth of a premature baby isn't anymore a punctual event. Nevertheless, most of the couples don't count on this possibility, the ideal is broken and they face a new world where everything is unknown. The baby is born and in a short space of time and parents is bombed with information and cares that until then didn't know, the teachings are taught by somebody that is close. When the great day comes, the parents take the baby, the information and teachings that were received and one or two last recommendations. At home they have to adapt by themselves to everything that they have learned, probably without having time to ask everything that they would like to know or to say that they felt and that they are feeling. But they know that their security is always there for them and it is to the hospital that they contact whenever they need.
